Smedley's daily regimen (diet, meds, supplements) Thanks to Dr. Obando and others at Mercy Vet for helping us build Smedley's immune system, assist his surgical recovery, and tackle the remnants of his potentially deadly tumor using a holistic, experimental approach.

9 a.m.
2 Wobenzym
2 Maitake D-Fraction mushroom caps
1/2 oz. Essiac Tea

9:30
2 IP6

10-11 a.m. (Breakfast)
Precise chicken/rice formula crunchies
Mix with fresh ground turkey cooked in olive oil/fresh garlic

(If you can't cook it yourself, use a high grade canned food like Spot’s Stew or Wysong Turkey.)

NEVER use food with by-products as ingredients; not ever!

Flax oil & cottage cheese
Transfer Factor Plus
Sprinkle of ProBio powder
Make sure he gets lots of pure water

11:30 a.m.
Navy Protocol (plus milk thistle to control liver enzymes) 		5:30-6 p.m.-ish (Dinner: same as breakfast)
After dinner, 100 mg. Coenzyme Q-10, vitamins offer water
4:30 p.m.
Two Wobenzym
2 mushroom caps
1/2 oz. essaic tea		 Mid-Evening “snack” (Vitality dog chews or Greenies)
Potty time
5 p.m.
2 IP-6 (offer him water)		 11-11:30 p.m.
Navy Protocol
10 mg. Probiotic acidophilus softgel
offer water (and a kiss)

Wobenzym (assists immune system, especially after surgery; decreases limping. Seems to soothe Smedley's digestive system)

Pure Maitake D-Fraction (there are other brands, but our vet recommended Pure)

Essiac Tea (we use Ezzeac Plus -- Smedley actually likes it -- but there are other types and brands; it's believed to fight cancer)

IP6 (assists the immune system in a unique way)
Precise chicken/rice formula (Smedley and his best buddy Smooch both like this. Smooch has a tender tummy from a near fatal battle with lockjaw. This is the only kibble his system tolerates well.) We also mix in Spectrum Organic Flax Oil & nonfat cottage cheese, a combination believed to help defeat tumors.
Transfer Factor Plus (used to fight cancer and boost immune system)
Spot's Stew or Wysong (can be used as substitute for homecooked)
Milk Thistle (this is the newest addition to Smedley's regimen. Dr. Obando recommended it after the protocol caused Smedley's liver enzymes to rise above normal. This helped! Milk thistle is used by people with liver related diseases.)
Vitality dog treats or Greenies (note: we sometimes top Smedley's food with Greenies Lil Bits if his appetite seems off -- it works!)
Mercy Vet (Dr. Obando and staff are wonderful -- we relied on phone consultations when Smedley couldn't travel there)
