Refer
potential advisors that have questions to the Special Species Web site for
more information.
Everyone is welcome!
Ask your students if their parents, or people they know, work with wild animals or native plants (as docents, scientists, park rangers, landscapers, consultants, volunteers, and so on). Provide students with information on the project. Include the requirement that an advisor is needed for the class to be able to participate and that advisors get create on the Special Species Web site for their help.
Search the Internet for information relating to your state or region (such as native plants of Florida, Ohio wildlife organizations, and New England nature museums). Assign a team of students to write or email for information on their topic of choice. If they receive a response and information, this constitutes as working with an advisor.
